“I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me and also about the king’s words which he had spoken to me. Then they said, “Let us arise and build.” So, they put their hands to the good work.” Neh. 2:18
Our Lord has been doing a magnificent work in the heart of pastors and congregations in bringing up children at risk in the “fear and instruction of the Lord.” In the last 2 years close to 900 children have been attending our preschools and bridging schools who had no real education. We are instructing them in a Biblical Worldview and leading them to the cross of Christ from which abundant and eternal life flows.
We launched a preschool and bridging school at Philadelphia Highfield Nazarene 1 year ago. They did not have enough space so, they built two prefab blocks where around 80 students are educated daily in this poor community. We are thrilled and humbled to be in partnership with a kingdom building church body.
Tonderai Kambundo
Tonderai’s story is one of incredible resilience. After losing his father during the COVID pandemic and his mother this year, his world seemed to fall apart. He had dropped out of school for three years, but now he is back, finding hope and purpose at Philadelphia Transformation Center. Despite everything he has been through, Tonderai is determined to move forward, and school has become his place of healing and new beginnings. He is a very friendly and respectful young man. He may not be an A student, but his diligence is paying dividends.
I started this HOH Newsletter with a quote from Nehemiah 2. Jump ahead with me to Nehemiah 6, “So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty-two days. And when all our enemies heard of it, all the nations around us were afraid . . . for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.”
Because of your sacrificial help you are investing in eternity by storing up eternal treasures where moth and rust do not destroy. Our children thank you!
