“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His godly ones” Psalm 116:15

Yes, precious to our Lord is the death of His godly ones, but precious also are the lives of the children who because of no fault of their own have suffered greatly.

Precious Fusire

Precious is a 17 year old girl whose parents died when she was a little girl. She was adopted by a family in a farming community called Kadoma. Because of poverty the family forced her into an early childhood marriage. She lived in an abusive environment for over 3 years before she was rescued. This abuse deeply affected Precious and it left her with emotional wounds and she is still in the healing process. Precious especially finds it very difficult to trust. But since entering one of our Hands of Hope residential homes, her trust in God has helped her in other relationships. She dreams of becoming a lawyer.

Munana Gwatidzo

Munana is 9 and is currently doing grade two. She came into our care when she was three years old. Munana is a Shona name which means a miracle and we truly believe it. Her mother was a psychiatric patient who was raped and then she died. She needs our prayers as she often has serious spiritual attacks. Munana dreams of becoming a medical doctor and a God fearing woman.

Precious in God’s Sight

Because of your love and faithful support for children at risk we are able to provide a family for Precious and Munana.  Join us in praying that they would grow in their knowledge of Jesus and that He would form in them “a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in His sight.” When you receive this letter I will be in Zimbabwe for a couple months.  We really do appreciate your prayers for Hands of Hope.
