“And He will be the stability of your times, A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the Lord is his treasure.” Isaiah 33:6
Unshakable Confidence in an Unstable World
Picture yourself standing on the smallest rock on top of the other rocks in this picture. Would you be in a precarious situation? Wouldn’t it depend on how “stable” the rocks were beneath you? We who are alive today will never forget the spring and summer of 2020! To say that our world is tottering and that we are living in precarious unstable times would be an understatement.
What is it that has helped us stay safe and secure during this “sheltering in place era?” What is it that Hands of Hope wants our Zimbabwe churches, pastors and children from “hard places” to hold on to in these volatile times? We want them to hold fast to God and His Word:
The unchanging person of Christ Matt. 16:16
The unchanging purpose of Christ Matt. 16:18
The unchanging power of the gospel Matt. 16:19
How does an organization “hold on” to it’s roots? It takes godly vision, passion and leadership from our HOH Trust board as well as our HOH staff. Pictured with our staff team is our retired National Director, Charles Kaguda (second from left) and our former HOH Board member and chair, Dave Rousseau. (third from the left) The other 4 men from left to right is our HOH staff, Tinaye, Collins, John and Garikai who provide leadership and oversight for all that we do in Zimbabwe. We are very grateful for Dave and Charles, years of service with Hands of Hope on behalf of our children.
Thanks also to each of you for standing with us during this worldwide pandemic in meeting the needs of children. They say that Zimbabwe is facing the worst food shortage in 40 years but we have managed under difficult conditions to procure food to keep our children alive physically. We thank our “unchanging” Savior and King!
