Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” Eph. 1:3

Blessed and Moreblessing

Have you ever thought that you are the most fortunate person alive?  I have and do.  God has blessed (past tense) me not only with every spiritual blessing in Christ but He has blessed me by bringing special people into my life through our Hands of Hope children. I want to introduce you to 3 of them.

Moreblessing is from Westgate Haven Home in Harare. Her father and mother passed on when she was very young. She moved from three different orphanages before finding a home at Westgate Haven. She wrote her Ordinary Level exams in 2017 and passed English. She can write and speak well in English and Shona. Her hope is that she would be able to take care of herself after finishing  sewing school!

Mitchel

Mitchel is from our Fountain of Hope Home in Bulawayo. Her mother died when she was six and her father was a mine worker. However, he was an alcoholic and he lost his job at the mine. The Government Department of Social Services took Mitchel and her sister into our Fountain of Hope Home after the department was alerted of the plight of the two girls. It was her dream from childhood to become a fashion designer. Her hope is to finish the course, raise money and further her studies in sewing.

Doricker

Doricker is from Green Valley Transformation Center in Harare. She is from polygamous family and her mother was a second wife. In 2017 her parents separated due to her mother’s health issues.  Her mother is currently bed ridden.  She dropped out of school so that she could look after her mother. She is hoping to use the sewing skills to raise her little sister and provide for her mother’s medications.

All three of these precious young women were taken into our “Simira Sewing Skills” course which started June 1st. They will be living together and learning sewing skills for the next 6 months.  Each of the previous graduates received a sewing machine at the end of the course to continue pursuing their dreams.

Yes, we have been blessed through your sacrifical generosity to be able to offer these young women a hope and a future.  Thanks for being a blessing to our Lord and His kingdom.
