“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the other ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?” Luke 15:3

Lost and Found

“And when he has found it, he puts it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost!” We are rejoicing and so is Natasha who joined our Bulawayo Hillside home after losing her only known relative, her grandmother. She was left staying on her own until she was identified by a Child Protection Committee. She has great leadership qualities and is walking with the Savior of the world. She has been doing well in school and is currently doing her A Levels. She has found herself in a family.

One of Natasha’s friends is Nqobile who lives with her along with all the precious young girls you see pictured below. Bulawayo is the second largest city in the country and Hillside is the only home that we have in the southern part of Zimbabwe. Nqobile, has been doing well in her education and passed her A Levels with 10 points. She is currently applying to universities to pursue a degree in law. Nqobile continues to be an encouragement, despite starting school late because of her background. She continues to work hard to achieve her goals and is involved in the life of the church.

Several years ago, I was teaching at a leadership conference for a particular denomination in Bulawayo. I vividly remember visiting several properties as HOH was hoping to open a residential home through pastor Gideon’s church. The home where all these children are staying caught my eye and because of your generosity we were able to purchase it. What a joy to rescue children who were lost and now have been found. Praise the Lord!
