Come to Me - Learn from Me
“Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Rugare Bridging School
Jesus gives us an invitation with a promise! He is not reluctant or distant. Why would we not want to get into the yoke with One who is gentle and humble! We desire that all our Hands of Hope children taste and see that the Lord is good, thus, learning is critical!
Last April after we finished one of our Valley VBS camps at Habitation of Hope a young man by the name of Prince came up to one of our team members and said, “Uncle, do you think you could help send me attend regular school?” As a result, January 2018, eleven students are attending a regular school for the first time with uniforms and booklets. The other children are still at the “Rugare Bridging School” but now with a proper qualified teacher – Chipo, who you see sitting in this picture.
Chipo completed her teacher’s training last year and she is now teaching at our Rugare Bridging School. Having been raised in a Hands of Hope home called Westgate Haven, she was looking for an opportunity to give back. She is hoping to close the wide gap in standards between the bridging school and her former Primary school. She expressed her gratitude to our supporters in the US for making it possible for her to make a difference in the lives of orphans. From 2003, she was under Westgate Haven, now she is self-supportive. We express our gratitude to you for allowing precious “children at risk” to go to school so they can learn about our precious and powerful Savior!
Because of Jesus and His Love,
