“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Turmoil In Zimbabwe
I check international news every day to see what is happening in our fallen world. If you have been following world news then you probably know that Zimbabwe is going through still another tumultuous time.
Garikai, our HOH project administrator, wrote, “Greetings Glen, Zimbabwe is going through one of its toughest moments. We have just had the longest industrial action in our national history. Our bank was closed on Monday and there is no hope that it will be open tomorrow. We have lost the ability to communicate. A lot of people were injured and more were arrested. We are not sure how many have lost their lives? God has kept our HOH team safe. However, we are not spared from the economic
collapse.”
Joy In The Midst Of Sorrow
The economic collaspse affects everyone in Zimbabwe whether they are rich or poor, educated or uneducated. It affects our 18 residential homes as well as the 1800 children in our transformational centers. HOH delivers food every 3 months and we praise God that we were able to distribute to every project before the recent tragic events. Gari just visited our Donhodzo transformational center in Chegutu run by pastor Nyemba and his church. Pictured are three boys who come each day to this rural project. Our HOH churches are loving precious children in Jesus’ matchless name in the midst of severe trials. The boys t-shirts (given out during a Vacation Bible School run by Menlo Church) have written on them “Sons and Daughters of the King” or “More than conquerors through Him.”
Thanks for your prayers and support. Please pray that we will be able to continue getting funds through to Zimbabwe so that our precious children can be healthy – body, soul and spirit. Our hope is in the Lord Jesus who is the Overcomer and who will come again as King!
