“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” John 14:16-18

I had the privilege last week to share with 230 youth from our 27 partnering Hand of Hope churches. We examined Romans 8 during the 6 hours that I had with them during the 4 days that we were all together at Habitation of Hope. The focus was on the person and work of the Holy Spirit in lives of Jesus’ followers. Here are four testimonies:

Ncamisile – “Romans 8 taught me that God will take me from guilt to glory. I am confident that God is for me and never against me. My favorite verse from Romans 8 is 8:28 because it tells that God causes all things to work together for my good and His glory.

Grace – “The Holy Spirit changed my perspective in certain areas of my life. I was reminded that God never gives up on me and I should keep pursuing Him until the end of my life. Romans 8 was an eye-opener reminding me that I have been set free from the law of sin and death therefore am free from condemnation.

Yolanda (pictured) – “The holy spirit ministered to me in such a way that l now know that l am a child of God, alive in Christ, and know my identity. l know that I have been delivered me from slavery of sin and that Jesus died to reveal His love to me personally.”

Kimberly – “The holy spirit ministered in me in such a way that I now know my purpose in this world and why God has chosen me. I must not fear anything because in Romans 8:31 says ‘that if God is for us who can be against us?’

I never imagined that one day we would have the privilege to partner with Zimbabwe churches and pastors in loving young people who are future leaders in Zimbabwe. You have made this possible!

To God be the glory,
