Chileleko Teamwork

Beyond a shadow of a doubt Jesus loves all the children of the world. Every child is precious because they are made uniquely special in the image of God! The Lord loves and trains them through His chosen people. Chileleko is overseen by our partnering church, Global Life Ministries which is led by pastor Peter Mabasa. This home has 10 children in residency (6 girls and 4 boys). The children range in age from 4-16. They are all in good health, but due to the global pandemic the children have not been going to school. However, our frontline caregivers at Chileleko have been doing a great job of teaching the kids during the lockdown. They have been having Sunday services and the children love to sing praises to the Lord. I would like to introduce you to two of these children, Bright and Tarisai.

Bright Bakare

Bright was born in 2010. His mother has passed and his father is unknown. He was living with his ill grandmother before joining Chileleko. Bright came to Chileleko in 2012 and is now doing grade 4. He is an average student with great potential. Bright enjoys singing and wants to be a pastor. May the Lord grant his request.

Tarisai Chaturika

Tarisai is 11 years old and is in grade 6 at Hatfield Primary School. She joined Chileleko in 2014 as both her parents were untraceable. We thank God that she continues to improve in her studies. She wants to be a lawyer after finishing her studies. Tarisai likes to help the younger children in the home and also sings well.

We are truly grateful for our caregivers in all 18 of our homes as it is a tireless job. They deal with children like Bright and Tarisai who need love, security and significance as not having parents presents many challenges. We are also thankful for each of you. Together, we are giving our HOH children a hope, a family and a future!
