Letter From Glen Miller (Aug 2017)

“And Jesus went down with them and came to Nazareth, and He continued in subjection to them; and His mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men” Luke 2:51-52

Congratulations Helen and Pamela

Patty and I had the privilege of staying at Westgate Haven when we first opened this home in 2003. The two lovely young women pictured in this letter are from that home. Both of the them earned their degrees from the University of Zimbabwe in June this year.  Helen’s smile gives you some picture of how she has grown in wisdom, stature and in favor with God, her sisters at the home, her classmates at the University as well as the body of Christ at Calvary Baptist. She was also one of our Zimbabwe leaders at a week long Bible Camp at Habitation of Hope working with the team Menlo Church in Palo Alto, Ca.

Pamela has also be one of our leaders at “Vacation Bible School Camps” at Habitation of Hope for the last 4 years. There is a 3 mintute video link taken a few years ago just before she started at the University and in it she says, “I never thought I would have the opportunity to attend University.” Her desire has become reality.  She like Helen has grown in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man. I have also included a link with the two of them singing a song with all the young women at Westgate Haven. At the end of the video Pamela explains the words to the song.

On behalf of Helen and Pamela we would like to say “thank you” for your wise investment in the lives of children who have now become young adults.  I have heard their testimonies and believe me when I say that they “give all the glory to God.”
