“And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2:10-12

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Our HOH Rugare Children’s Home received a new baby on the 24th of December 2020. The baby came through the Rugare Police Station. The little boy was abandoned along the railway line near the Rugare suburb. The person who abandoned him tried to make sure the baby would not make any noise between trains by drugging him with a high alcohol cheap brew. But God had other plans and he was picked up by someone who saw him lying on the ground. Mharidzo, pastor Henry’s wife was so thankful to God for this precious gift the day before Christmas. The children’s ministry team at their church had to quickly find baby food, clothing, and bedding for the child. The little guy was found with only a little baby cloth. Efforts to track-down his parent or parents have proved futile.

Abandoned to Rescued

2,000 years ago some Bethlehem shepherds found a baby boy who was wrapped in cloths in a manager.  An angel announced this good news to the shepherds. This the little boy who has now been given the name Ishmael Zion was protected by the Lord and received with great joy.

Pictured here is “little Ish”, the new name his new parents call him.  His mother reports that his health has improved greatly and he has completely adjusted to his new home. We don’t know what Ishmael Zion will grow up to be but our prayer is that he would grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.

There is an old song that says, “Rescue the perishing, care for the dying, snatch them in pity from sin and the grave; weep o'er the erring one, lift up the fallen, tell them of Jesus the mighty to save.”

Friends, you are helping HOH to snatch precious children from sin and the grave. The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy, but as His children we are involved in a rescue operation that is not in vain. We consider our partnership with you “precious” in every respect. Thank you!
