 Marching Orders

“It will be your mission to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of God. This is so that they may receive forgiveness of all their sins and have a place among those who are set apart for a holy purpose through having faith in Me.” Acts 26:18

Kingdoms in Conflict

There are only two kingdoms in this fallen world. Everyone who has breath of life is either in the kingdom of darkness or the kingdom of light because there never has been a third option. King Jesus appeared to a Pharisee named Saul and changed his entire purpose in life – a holy purpose! Our calling as Christ followers is to open the hearts/minds of those whose eyes (including children) have been blinded by the the god of this world. We are invovled in the most strategic work and ministry in the entire universe. The fight for the orphans, the fatherless and vulnerable children is one of the most important forms of spiritual battle.

Wounded Children – Jesus’ Churches - Healing Homes

As I type, children, young people and adults in Ukraine are being wounded and many dying. I heard that no Ukraine male between the ages of 16 and 60 can leave the country because they were told to pick up a gun and fight. Jesus told His disciples that He was sending them out, “as sheep in the midst of wolves.” Satan has zero pity for children. Let me introduce you to one who our Lord has rescued.

Yolanda is doing Form 3 at How Mine High School and she loves the Lord very much. She is part of the Church’s Praise and Worship team. Her desire is to grow in knowing Christ and improve the God given talents that she has. Before coming to our Hillside home she was staying with her grandparents. Sadly, both the grandparents died and thus she lost several years of schooling. Through our HOH home she was able to go back to school and bridge the gap. We thank God that Yolanda has found a home and a family. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 63:3-4, “because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you and I will praise you as long as I live and in your name I will lift up my hands.”

Thanks for joining us in the battle for the souls of those whom Jesus loves. Please continue to pray that the Word of God would take root in the hearts of children like Yolanda.
