“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come” 2 Cor. 5:17
Happy New Year! Our sovereign Lord is and always has been in the business of changing lives from the inside out. Jesus came into the world to save sinners, give us abundant life, which is His life in us! I know you will be encouraged as you read two testimonies of the grace of God!
Annah’s Personal Testimony
My name is Annah Saurombe and I am 13 years old. I am in form one at Mabelreign Girls High School. I was born into a polygamous family in Mutare and became orphaned when I was a small child. Life became hard for me and my elder sister. In 2020 when I was nine years old God changed my life, and I came to live at Westgate Haven. At Westgate Haven, I have food, clothes, and shoes, something that seems basic for other children but is a blessing for me. I go to school in a uniform and all my school fees are paid for. Last year I took my grade 7 examinations and passed with flying colors due to the support I got from Westgate Haven. I am grateful for what the Lord is doing in my life through Westgate Haven, Calvary church and everyone who supports the home. I want to work hard on my schoolwork and hope to become an accountant one day.
Nomsa’s Personal Testimony
My name is Nomsa Kandira, I am 20 years old. I lost my parents when I was young. After facing challenges such as a shortage of food, clothes, and dropping out of school I came to Westgate Haven in 2017. My life turned around dramatically. I hope that one day I can look after my brothers and sister. I work hard in school and took my, “ZIMSEC Ordinary Level Exams” in 2020. I attained 3 A’s, 5B’s, and 2Cs. I proceeded to Advanced Level, and I passed with 11 points. The Lord continued to show me His love and favor and I enrolled in university in 2023. I am currently studying for a degree in Hospitality and Tourism at the Chinhoyi University of Technology. I am now in my second year and God has been good to me. I want to thank all the people who played a part in my life to get to this stage, I am profoundly grateful.
Nomsa and Annah are grateful for His work in transforming their lives. We are grateful for your generosity!
