AWANA Olympics

From November 24-26 Hands of Hope hosted an AWANA Olympics at Habitation of Hope. AWANA’s mission is to equip children and youth ministry leaders throughout the world to reach kids with the Gospel and engage them in lifelong discipleship. The objective is to bring children together and teach them the word of God in a child-friendly and age-appropriate manner.

There were 155 children from 5 of our new Transformational Center Bridging Schools involved in this event.

There were five distinct events: netball for girls, five-aside soccer for boys, AWANA games, quiz contests, and choir competitions. Every child was eager to take part and participated to the best of their abilities. The quiz covered the curriculum from the AWANA and Navigators books, which included Bible stories and scripture memory. It was amazing to see children recite more than 12 bible verses from the 52 bible verses they had learned.

Because of your generosity the Word of God is being planted into the hearts and minds of children who have only one life to win. We pray and long for all of them to win the imperishable crown. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
