“Be to me a rock of habitation to which I may continually come; You have given commandment to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress” Psalm 71:3
Habitation of Hope
Seven years ago the Lord enabled Hands of Hope to purchase a 134 acre property with lots of rocks and trees. As Patty and I were reading Psalm 71 she looked at me and suggested,“lets name the property Habitation of Hope.” Our camp site is very close to a tourist spot called “Balancing Rocks.” People used to come, pay a small entrance fee and see lots of rock formations like the one you see pictured. But if you were able to visit Habitation of Hope, we would enjoy showing you this little rock garden.
Balancing Life with COVID – 19
Do you have a “rock solid” faith in the midst of this worldwide pandemic? Jesus said, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.” Matt. 7:24-25 Fears, worry, anxiety, confusion, panic and hopelessness are slamming against the doors of people worldwide who are confined to their homes. May the Lord Jesus fill us with all joy and peace in believing so that we can abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are staying at Habitation of Hope for the country’s 21-day lock down which began March 1. While so many are restricted to their homes we are able to walk around this property. The last three days I joined our Habitation Staff in carving out a “Nature Trail” amongst the rocks and trees. It is close to a mile long and quite beautiful.
Please remember Zimbabwe, our churches, our leaders, our caregivers and our precious children in your prayers. Our Heavenly Father knows that His beloved Son is a Rock in a weary land and a Shelter in the time of storm. May He be our “ Rock of Habitation”. Thanks for your faithful support in these times!
