“Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it." Mark 10:14-15

These words remind us of God’s tender heart toward children and His call for us to embrace Him with the same trust and humility they embody. Pastor Jeffrey Pindurai personifies God’s heart and pastors his church with a ministry called “Child at Heart,” which serves to minister to children from difficult backgrounds, aiming to equip them fully to face the world's challenges with confidence in the Lord Jesus. They offer a holistic approach to every learner in their care. C.A.H. fosters a sense of belonging for all the children entrusted to their care, guided by their vision - allowing children to grow by providing a future, security, and food. They help children from early childhood so that they can integrate into formal schools, where they can sit for their public examinations, which enable them to continue their education. Pastor Jeff’s wife Clara went to be with our Lord a few years ago.

Meet Ruth Andrea, a nine-year-old girl. One of the biggest milestones in her life through C.A.H. has been developing social skills. She previously struggled to interact well with others, both at home and at school. Ruth often isolated herself and was a shy girl who stayed away from others. But the Lord is working in her heart, and with the help of her teachers in managing daily activities, such as leading a song in devotion, she has gained confidence and can now communicate and participate effectively both at home and at school.

Child at Heart

As we look to our Father, who is a defender of the fatherless and a protector of the vulnerable, we are invited to mirror His compassion by welcoming children at risk and cultivating a childlike faith that draws us closer to our Lord’s heart and His eternal kingdom.
