Cooking and Baking Lessons with Nancy Everswick
We are grateful to share about the special week we had with Nancy Everswick, who led cooking and baking lessons with the Sewing Girls. Alongside the practical sessions, she also facilitated Bible studies, making it a spiritually enriching experience.
The girls learned to prepare a variety of dishes, including honey-baked chicken, salads, sandwiches, banana loaves, and chocolate cake. Bonita also joined to teach basic Mexican cooking, while Doug Everswick supported the program by teaching the girls how to make pancakes.
Beyond the lessons, meaningful time was spent sharing meals and building relationships, which greatly encouraged the girls. It was truly a week filled with joy, love, and fellowship.
Each girl received cooking utensils to take home, and we were blessed with an industrial sewing machine. We thank God for the Everswicks’ generosity and servant hearts. Their visit reflected Christ’s love in action and left a lasting impact on the girls.
