Mabvuku team (Mrs Dube and Mrs Jakaja) had the opportunity to visit the Rugare project to see an HOHT functional Transformational Center (TC) in action.
· Pastor Zihove gave a brief background on their project and how they came to partner with Hands of Hope Trust in the great work of child care in the Rugare community.
· He encouraged the new partner on the importance of good communication and report writing to keep a working relationship in their partnership with Hands of Hope
· Pastor Henry also highlighted some great advantages of the Transformational center model which include church growth as well as the total transformation of a child who passes through a TC.
· He also talked about the importance of involving other community stake holders such as the police, nurses, and teachers from local schools in a functional TC.
The Mabvuku team had the first hand privilege of seeing children being served food in a respective manner, children playing games and enjoying story time. Other activities done at the project include sewing and gardening.
