Celebrate Rugare Preschool Graduation

1st Graduation Ceremony

Graduation is such a special milestone in a child’s life. The ceremony was a great opportunity to celebrate learning and to recognize an important landmark, one that may be the first of many milestones. The innate feeling of pride and accomplishment as children walk across the stage to receive their preschool certificate was so amazing. From the tassel on the graduation cap to hearing the ceremonial music for the first time, graduation is such a special moment. Celebrating milestones and educational achievements helps give children a sense of accomplishment and pride.

November 28th 2022 marked a proud day at Rugare Transformation center as they celebrated their first pre-school graduation ceremony. The graduation was a culmination of two years of learning that took place at the Transformation center from the day of inception. 11 out of 24 learners graduated and are ready for Grade 1.

Some students were awarded additional prizes which include best student award, well behaved, best in reading and writing among other prizes. The ceremony was held in the Rugare ACOP main church which was transformed for the occasion by flowers, decorations and tables. We were thrilled by the number of people who came to celebrate the milestones of their children and others just joined the event from the community to witness.

It was quite a great moment listening to the speeches and presentations given by children before receiving their awards. In between speeches, the graduates led us all in jubilant singing, dancing, poems and drama skits.

Pastor Henry explained to the community how the church will continue to make a positive and significant impact in the Rugare community. He went on to encourage and appreciating his team members (Rugare TC staff) for a job well done. We were so much thrilled by the work being done at the Rugare TC, and many of those present confirmed their gratitude through their testimonies.

This was a watershed moment in the lives of children. It was time to recognize the teachers' and Rugare's staff's outstanding work and support. Just looking at the happy faces reveals a lot about the culture at the center. We were blown away by the progress that has been made.

Hands of Hope staff attended the event, and Mr. Mahere was the guest speaker, encouraging the team to continue soldering for the best interest of the child. He went on to applaud the work being done at the center to embrace the organization's mission, vision, and core values.
