Habitation of Hope
Having undergone an intensive dressmaking course, it was show-time, and the girls displayed the skills they acquired.
They made patterns and made their graduation dresses in four hours.
The pressure was intense, but knowledge makes one sure-footed.
Each girl worked on her dress.
Wow!! It was done and our partners were stunned. What a remarkable achievement.
Each girl received a certificate of achievement.
We are thankful to Hands of Hope USA for meeting the running expenses of the course. Also, the following people and groups made some remarkable contributions:
- Westover Church in Greensboro and Rejoice Zimbabwe made a donation of sewing machines in 2013.
- Allan Marson purchased an industrial overlock machine for the project in 2019 and a further donation of three manual sewing machines which is on their way.
- Cornerstone Church bought mattresses and cooking utensils for the project.
- Philadelphia project in Harare offered their property as a training venue.
- Chileleko in Harare made a donation of bunk beds and a lounge suit.
- Trace Van Dover bought three sewing machines which were given to the girls as start up as they go back to their projects.
- Zimbabwe Golf Tournament in Australia made a donation of three sewing machines given to the girls as well.
