“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” Ecc. 4:9-10

The Power of Partnerships

It would be impossible for Hands of Hope to love children in Jesus’ name apart from Zimbabwe churches. Partnership makes difficult tasks easier.  In 2009 I visited a mining compound called “Alaska Mine” that had been evacuated for years due to a severe cholera outbreak. HOH started a partnership with pastor Maxwell and his church family as they had a vision of ministering to children from “hard places.”  They forged a partnership with Alaska Mine Primary School. The school’s responsibility is to identify needy children, provide storage for food handouts from HOHT and offer leadership support.  The Church ministers to the identified children and offers them a safety net in which they are loved, rehabilitated and taught the Word of God.

Here is a picture of Gogo Green (meaning grandma) who is loved so much by the Alaska children. Her service to the project has been constant. The Lord has allowed her to be an ever pouring fountain of love to precious children like Alice.

Alice

We have had the privilege of following the progress of Alice since 2012.  She almost died from malnutrition, but look at her now!  She started receiving HOHT support when she was in preschool and is now in Form 1 (8thgrade). She is growing in wisdom, stature and in favor with the Lord – all because of partnerships.  Mother Teresa said, “You can do what I cannot do.  I can do what you cannot do.  Together, we can do great things.”

We are grateful for your sacrificial giving and your partnership in praying for HOH.  Someone said, “When you partner in prayer, you partner with God.

Thanks for your partnership,                                                                        Website: hohafrica.org
