“Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.” 2 Cor. 4:1-2

Last month we hosted our annual Hands of Hope Pastor’s and wives conference at Habitation of Hope. A few of our partners were unable to attend but these are the servants and stewards that were there - that we have the privilege of working with in rescuing children. Together, we long to provide a hope, a family and a future for the precious children the Lord has entrusted to us at deeper levels. Not just a future in this earthly life but a future for all eternity!

Our emphasis during our 4 days together was contentment, child protection and understanding the nature of God and His invisible attributes. Below are some of the comments that they shared with us at the end of our time together.

  • I learned to be content as a Christian and as a leader. I was also reminded afresh that the Lord is able to provide everything we need if we only trust Him even in the midst of an unstable economy knowing that He is sovereign.

  • The importance of His power in our weakness, how to be content in all circumstances and receiving a better understanding of “The Real God.”

  • The burden of a discontented life was lifted from my shoulders and was replaced with unspeakable freedom. Especially in light of what we are going through as a nation.

  • The fellowship with other pastors was great, refreshing and the child protection sessions were so helpful.

  • I have been inspired to do more for God than what I have been doing. The teaching was eye opening!

  • My faith was revived because of a better understanding of how I can be strong in Him!

  • I was transformed in my mind about who God is and was reminded that life is unfair but God is fair!

  • I have learned to know God better, to be content, protect children and communicate Christ’s love to them through His Word.
