January Newsletter 2013

Happy New Year!  On behalf of Hands of Hope we thank you for your generosity in 2012 as well as in past years.  We are so grateful to Lord for His faithfulness in providing a hope, a family and a future for orphans.

HOH Expansion
We are in the process of purchasing a property that will be used for skills training, micro-projects, pastoral training, caregiver equipping, children’s camps and a host of other opportunities.  I hope to put a picture or two of the property in one of our upcoming newsletters.  This is one of the most thrilling endeavors in HOH to date.  We also opened up 5 new residential homes in 2012 by God’s grace!  We continue to feed over an additional 2,000 children daily as well as minister to them on a spiritual level.

Dorcas
Eleven years ago we opened up our first Hands of Hope residential orphan home.   All of the girls were living on the street.  One of those young girls was Dorcas, who has no known relatives.  Dorcas was married on December 14th.  Some of the little boys and girls you see in the picture are also orphans from our Goshen Village where Dorcas has been serving as a caregiver in one of our three farm homes.  She wanted to give back and has fallen in love with the children.  Now she is love with more than the children! Pastor Mutatu was able to perform the ceremony and many of our orphans from several of our homes were able to attend.

We have now launched a new website!  I hope that you will take the time to check it out on hohafrica.org.   We still have some changes and updates but we are thrilled with the outcome.

We pray that the Lord will allow us to continue to grow HOH as we remain faithful to Him.  He certainly has done exceeding abundantly more than we could ask or think.  Loving orphans in Jesus’ name would be impossible without you.  Thanks for being on our team!

For Him and for the children,

Glen and Patty
