You have heard it said “that a picture is worth a thousand words.”  Well take a look at the smile on the face of this young woman and judge for yourself!  Aaron (who’s in the background of the picture) has been like a father to Chipo and his wife, Josie has been the director and mother of this home from the beginning and has raised her like her own child.

It was 11 years ago when we opened up our second residential home for orphans called; “Westgate Haven?”  Chipo was one of the young girls that we first took into this home.  Patty and I were actually living at the home when Chipo and 7 other girls arrived.

It didn’t take us long to know that Chipo was sharp, smart and spiritually astute.  We have watched her over the years grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  On September 13th of this year she graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a Degree in Sociology.   She is the first University Graduate from Hands of Hope’s 20 residential homes.  She is also married with one precious child.  We are so proud of her!

Chipo’s influence on the other girls in the home can’t be measured.  Her love for the Savior, commitment to Calvary Church, disciplined study habits, and kingdom involvement has been a model that has impacted the younger girls for time and eternity.

Due to your faithful generosity, young women like Chipo will help change the nation of Zimbabwe.  You are assisting in changing lives and helping precious children reach their God given potential.  Thanks!
