Praise the Lord

How many times to do you think the word “praise” is mentioned in Psalms alone?  It is a little over 150 times if I counted correctly.  Guess it is only fitting since there are 150 Psalms!  The biblical focus of all “praise” is the Lord Himself – His person, His work, His Word, His covenants, His promises, His wisdom, His character, His prophecies, His prophetic fulfilment and . . . . . !

“Little Praise”

Pastor Henry recently sent me this picture of himself and a young child named “Praise.”  This is what he wrote to me,   “The mercy of God is on little Praise.  At the beginning of last year 2012 we were given two orphans by Social Welfare.   One of the girls, named Wadzanai, had been raped, and was pregnant and HIV positive.  She wanted to abort the pregnancy since she had no hope in life because of the trauma of rape and HIV.  We took her into one of our two HOH homes and provided accommodation and food as well as counseling.  She gave birth to a baby girl Praise pictured here with me.   Every day when I see Praise I also see the mercy of God and think if HOH had not provided a home to ACOP – perhaps baby “Praise” might have been aborted.

Thank you HOH for your continued support to orphans like baby Praise,”

We are praising the Lord for His work in your hearts and lives.  It takes a team to love children at risk day after day and year after year.  It isn’t easy or inexpensive but it is worth it!  What will little “Praise” become?  We don’t know that answer, but we do know that she is daily experiencing the love of Jesus through Pastor Henry and the committed caregivers on his church team.

Last week the main lodge on the new property, “Habitation of Hope,” got a new roof.  A   greenhouse was finished for the fish project and over 1,000 little Tilapia fingerlings were put into the four new fish tanks.  We are “praising” the Lord for the gift of this property, the gift of His Son, His Spirit and His blessings.  We are blessed to be in partnership with Him and you!
